Unfortunate... Unexpectedly... and changed his whole life...

I have a colleague whom I seldom liaise with. Before I can know more about him as colleagues, I heard news that he had a stroke while skiing at Aus. He is only in his 20s. It is really an unfortunate event. He is young, promising and good looking. I believe there is much more for him to explore in life. He has been on medical leave for more than a year.

He came back to the workplace today. I saw him. He has put on weight (think due to lack of exercise and movements of his body). He was limping in and unable to talk as normal. Though, he managed to get his message across but you can tell it took quite a bit of effort to complete his sentence. All these are taken for granted for most. After seeing him, I realised that life is so brittle. Once disaster falls on you, everything will change. Unexpectedly. Sudden. Sad. I really feel like telling him, 'Don't give up. You must believe in yourself. See, you have stood up and walking.' There are so many years ahead. I believe he needs a lot of morale support from his family and friends. I hope that he will recover soon, hopefully back to normal. As long as he does not give up on himself, I believe miracles will happen as well.

Friends, please do cherish what you have and what you are now. You can walk and talk as normal which some would require more effort than us. I am very fortunate to have you all beside me when I am down and share my happiness.

Thank you. :)

Japanese Foodcourt @Northpoint extension

Recently, went to a jap foodcourt with my sister. Initially, I thought was Shudoku restaurant. I was amazed that there is such a jap food concept in Singapore. Northpoint is currently under renovation thus, if you are interested to go, once you exit from mrt station @YISHUN, turn right when Delifrance is at your left side. Walk all the way and go up to 3rd level (if I did not remember wrongly).

I would rate the Ramen 3/5, the soup and char siew is superb. As for the pizza, 4/5. Unique taste yet will not feel too full after eating a few slices. The prices are reasonable.

Took some pics below. Worth going when you have ran out of ideas for dinner. :D
